Nearly 83 million passengers passed through the airport in 8 months

According to statistics from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in the first 8 months of 2025, the total number of passengers passing through airports reached nearly 83 million, an increase of more than 10% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors reached nearly 31 million (up 13%), domestic visitors reached more than 52 million (up more than 8%).

Cargo output through the airport in 8 months reached more than 1 million tons, up nearly 15% over the same period.
The total air transport market (including domestic and foreign airlines) reached nearly 57 million passengers, an increase of nearly 11% over the same period last year.
Of which, international visitors accounted for nearly 31 million (up 13%), domestic visitors accounted for 26 million (up more than 8%). Cargo transported reached nearly 973 thousand tons, up more than 17%.
Vietnamese airlines transported 39 million passengers, up nearly 9% over the same period. Of which, international passengers reached 13 million (up more than 9%), domestic passengers 26 million (up more than 8%). The volume of goods transported by airlines reached nearly 305 thousand tons, up more than 6% over the same period in 2024.
In August 2025 alone, the number of passengers passing through airports nationwide reached more than 11 million, an increase of more than 10% over the same period last year.
Of which, international visitors reached more than 4 million (up 13% over the same period last year), domestic visitors reached more than 7 million (up more than 8% over the same period in 2024).
Cargo throughput through airports reached 153 thousand tons, up nearly 15% compared to August 2024.
The total passenger transport market reached nearly 8 million passengers (up nearly 11%), of which international passengers were more than 4 million (up more than 13%) and domestic passengers were more than 3 million (up more than 8%) compared to the same period last year. Total cargo output reached more than 135 thousand tons, up more than 17%.
Vietnamese airlines transported more than 5 million passengers in August, up nearly 9% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international passengers reached nearly 2 million, domestic passengers more than 3 million. Cargo volume transported by airlines reached more than 39 thousand tons, up more than 6% over the same period.
